More than a decade ago, DJ Westfa started organising house events in his old hometown, Amsterdam, under the name Our Society. Over the years, his passion for house music grew significantly, and it became a way of life.
Booking Theo Parrish, Moodymann, Robert Owens, Jamie 3:26, Sadar Bahar & Lee Collins, Tama Sumo, Lakuti, and countless others, inspired him to the point that he decided to take a spin behind the wheel and start expressing his soul into his own DJ sets.
Music has always been a great part of his life. With roots in Surinam, DJ Westfa approaches music in a more spiritual way. Westfa always translates his personality into his sets through energy, rhythms, percussions, soul, and love. The power of music is infinite, that’s why DJ Westfa uses it to communicate, mourn, celebrate, love, and live.
As a Refuge Worldwide resident, he created his own Our Society radio show. A show where he invites guests and discusses topics regarding mental health, motivation, inspiration, balance, and everything to create a personal conversation, all centred around personally selected tracks by the guest.
