Everything is Everything | Annett Scheffel & Ale Cohen

With Annett Scheffel, and Ale Cohen

What’s the second-best thing about music? Talking about it with like-minded music lovers!

»Everything is everything« is a show dedicated to deep conversations about the music we feel passionate about and about personal connections.

Annett talks to musician and producer Ale Cohen about Manchester (or should we say Madchester?) and the musical imprint it has left on this planet. When he was younger Ale developed a deep interest and love for obscure bands from Manchester in the 90s. We talk about why, how it still influences this perspective on music, and what makes Manchester so special as a music city from the 70s to today.

Alejandro (Ale) Cohen is Director of Music Content for public radio KCRW and has been part of the musical and cultural fabric of Los Angeles for over 25 years. A musician at heart, Cohen has played in many local bands over the years, including Languis and Pharaohs. He’s also an Emmy Award winning producer. In his role as the Executive Director of dublab, a non-profit community radio station based in Los Angeles, he collaborated with countless artists and cultural institutions.
